S POWER (MAINS) REQUIREMENTS.
To Set Power (Mains) Voltage:
1. This unit can be used with a power (mains) voltage of 100 to 110V,
115 to 127V,
200 to 220V
or 230 to 250V.
|Before operating, be
sure to check your local power (mains) voltage.
2. Turn the Voltage selector to your desired power (mains) voltage with
a screw-driver until the selector clicks.
Notes:
1. Before turning the selector, disconnect the AC power (mains)
lead from the AC outlet with this unit in stop mode.
2. Be sure not to turn the selector with a thin screw-driver, etc.
by force.
The selector may be broken and the deck will not
operate.
3. When
inserting the mains plug into the AC outlet supplying
100 —110/115—127V,
insert the plug with
adaptor
con-
nected to it.
CONNECTIONS <
This unit is not equipped
with a built-in
power
amplifier;
therefore
it
must
be connected
to the stereo
amplifier.
The
connection
should
preferably be done
using the Line out sockets
and
Line in sockets
-
@5) ; if the stereo amplifier is not provided with a Line out socket and
Line in socket, perform the connection via Record/playback
(DIN) socket
. (See diagram).
Note:
Do not use the DIN cord and US pin-type cords at the same time.
Insert the AC power (mains) lead plug into the power (mains) socket of
Stereo amplifier or into the convenient AC outlet.
Note: Disconnect the AC power (mains) Jead plug from AC outlet when
the unit is not to be used with AC power
(mains) for a long
period of time or you are away from home.
OUTPUT SWITCH
When
connected
with
a stereo
system,
and
when
recording
terminal
(REC OUT) and playback terminal (TAPE IN) are both connected
electri-
cally or when
recording with DIN lead, abnormal
oscillations may occur
because of the wiring of the stereo system connected.
ON:
When
connected with a stereo system which causes no abnormal
oscillations.
OFF:
When abnormal oscillations occur.
DIN MONITOR SOCKET
To
monitor
when
recording
with
the supplied
DIN
lead,
connect
an
extra optional DIN lead to this socket.
(When set the Output switch @9 to OFF")
TAPE SELECT SWITCH
Equalizer
and
Bias can
be changed
over
independentiy.
When
using
ferric oxide tape (Fe203), set the Bias and Equalizer to the LH/NOR posi-
tion; when
using chrom oxide tape (CrO2), set the Bias and Equalizer to
the CrO2 position; when using ferric chrom tape (FeCr) tape, set the Bias
and Equalizer to the FeCr position.
In addition, by setting this switch in accordance
with the various tapes
sold on the market, full tape performance is obtained.
