5. Correct use

• The energy cost meter allows you to determine the
current consumption of your electrical devices.
• Alongside the current output and amount of
energy measured, the energy cost meter can also
display the mains voltage, current strength, mains
frequency and power factor.
• The values on the energy cost meter do not
provide any basis for the billing of energy costs
between the energy supplier and the consumer.
6. Commissioning / entering the electricity
price (Euro/kWh)
Note
• If the energy cost meter cannot be made to
work, press the Reset button (5) for a few
seconds.
• The rechargeable battery is charged during
operation.
• When not used for a prolonged period, the
internal battery will discharge. Plug the energy
cost meter into an electric socket for approx.
24 hours every 3 months to charge the internal
battery.
Press the FUNC button and the following appear in
sequence on the display:
• VOLTac: Display of the mains voltage, mains
frequency and time
• AMP: Display of the current, power factor and time
• WATT: Display of the power, power factor and time
• WATT max: Display of the max. power
• kWh: Display of the kWh used, power factor
and time
• TOTAL PRICE; TOTAL ON TIME: Display of the total
price and total duration of use
• PRICE1: Display of price 1 and the duration of use,
only appears if a value has already been entered in
cents / kWh for PRICE 1
• PRICE2: Display of price 2 and the duration of use,
only appears if a value has already been entered in
cents / kWh for PRICE 2

6.1 Setting the time

• Press the FUNC button until CLOCK appears in
the display
• Press the SET button and set the relevant day of
the week with the UP button
• Press the SET button and set the relevant hour
with the UP button
Press the SET button and set the minutes with
the UP button
• Press the SET button to save the settings
• Press the UP button to select between 12h/24h
mode
6.2 Setting the price
If you have two different electricity prices with your
electricity supplier (e.g. normal tariff and night
tariff), you can set both with the energy cost meter
and also the period (weekday/s and time) at which
the respective tariff applies. If you only have one
electricity price that applies around the clock, you
only need to enter the electricity price under Price
1. Weekdays, time and the dates for Price 2 should
then be left blank.
• Press and hold the FUNC button for a few seconds
until the display shows COST/kWh
• Press the SET button to set price 1. Use the SET
button to select the digit you want to enter.
• Enter the desired value with the UP button
• Press the SET button and set the relevant days of
the week with the UP button
• Press the SET button and set the relevant time with
the UP button
• Press the SET button to save the settings
• After setting price 1, press the FUNC button to
set price 2.
• If you only have one electricity price, do not enter
any values for price 2.
• To do this, repeat the steps above
• After setting price 2, press the FUNC button to set
the max. overload value
• Press the SET button, then select the digit you
want to enter
• Enter the desired value with the UP button
• Press the SET button to save the setting
• Hold the FUNC button for a few seconds to return
to the normal display
