Servicing and care of the device

The satisfactory operation of the test device depends on proper use and regular maintenance.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before carrying out any maintenance and care work, ensure that the test device is switched off and disconnected from the
charger.
Cleaning the test device
Clean the exterior of the device with a soft, slightly moistened cloth (not dripping) to remove dust and other dirt.
NOTE: Damage to the components!
Damage to the test device due to faulty cleaning.
• Make sure that no water enters the test device. The sensor may be irreversibly damaged as a result.
• Do not use chemical cleaners, abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Do not use polishes or other cleaning agents containing oil.
Battery charging and care
CAUTION: Risk of injury due to damaged components!
Any damage to the test device or charger will affect serviceability. This can cause injuries.
• Only charge the battery with the charger supplied.
• The charging status is indicated by an LED light.
• A damaged test device must not be put into operation, or must be immediately taken out of service.
The battery should be fully charged before commissioning and after long breaks in use. The battery is charged within 12 to 14 hours using the supplied charger. Disconnect the
charger from the power supply and test device after 2 days at the latest. In cases where the device is not used for a considerable period of time, the battery should be discharged
and recharged every 1 to 2 months.
More than 500 charge and discharge cycles can be expected in normal conditions.
Long-term storage or excessively long charging of the batteries leads to reduced cell capacity. This loss of capacity can be compensated for by full charging or 1 to 3 charge and
discharge cycles.
The battery charge status is shown in the display with the battery symbol.
If no further bars are displayed in the battery symbol, the device can still be used for approx. 15 minutes.
When the battery is completely discharged, the test device switches off.
