Safety

The device is built using state of the art technology. Nevertheless, there are residual dangers when using the device. To avoid such dangers, observe the safety instructions in this
manual. The messages and warnings provided on the device display also apply.
Danger of explosion when used in potentially explosive atmospheres!
The test device generates voltage pulses, causing heating of the sensor. Reactions between gases or combinations of substances in the atmosphere can promote
combustion or cause explosions, resulting in serious injury or death.
The test device must never be used in potentially explosive and/or other hazardous environments.
Never charge the batteries of the test device in a potentially explosive environment.
Danger of electric shock when charging the test device in a moist environment or in water!
Charging the test device in a moist environment or in water may cause an electric shock.
Never charge the test device in a moist environment or in water.
Exposure to electrical currents inside the charger power supply unit may result in a potentially fatal electric shock!
Contact with live parts inside the charger power supply unit may result in a potentially fatal electric shock.
Do not open or carry out any repairs on the charger power supply unit. There is a risk of contact with dangerous electrical voltages inside the power supply
unit, and there are no user-repairable parts.
Any repairs must be carried out only by the manufacturer or by authorised specialists.
Risk of injury due to damaged components!
Unauthorised modifications, or damage to the test device or the charger power supply unit impair the device's serviceability. The sensor installed in the test device
heats up during operation, so there is a risk of burns if the test device is defective or damaged. This can cause injuries.
Check the test device for damage before commissioning.
If damage is found, the test device should not be used, or it should be taken out of operation immediately and checked by the manufacturer.
If the body is damaged by impact or being dropped on the ground, the test device should be taken out of service and checked by the manufacturer.
