1 Intended use

This product is a table fan designed for indoor use. It comes with an oscillating function. There
are three speed settings available.
The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture must
be avoided under all circumstances.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged.
Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. For safety and
approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product
available to third parties only together with the operating instructions.

4 Description of symbols

The symbol with the exclamation mark in the triangle is used to indicate important

5 Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting per-
sonal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.

5.1 General information

The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous

playing material for children.
If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact

our technical support service or other technical personnel.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an au-

thorised repair centre.
5.2 Handling
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can

damage the product.

5.3 Operating environment

Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.

Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam

and solvents.
Protect the product from high humidity and moisture.

Protect the product from direct sunlight.

5.4 Operation
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appliance.

If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect

it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation
can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,

– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
This device is not intended to be used by persons (including

children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities
or lack of experience and / or lack of knowledge unless they
are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or
have received instructions on how to use the device.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not

play with the device.
Always ensure that you do not leave the product unattended during use to protect children

against the hazards of electrical devices. Choose a storage location that is out of reach of
children. Ensure that the cable does not hang down.
Before connecting to the mains, make sure that your local AC mains voltage matches the

specifications on the nameplate.
Never touch the product with wet or damp hands.

The device was constructed according to protection class II. Only a proper mains socket

(230 V/AC, 50 Hz) of the public supply net must be used as voltage source.
Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects filled with liquid right next to

the device. If liquid or an object enters the interior of the device nevertheless, first power
down the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug
from the mains socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a
specialist workshop.
Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm

one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. The plug-in power supply unit
also involves danger to life by electric shock! Allow the product to reach room temperature
before connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
Never submerge the cable, plug or the device in water or other liquids, as this can result

in an electrical shock.
Do not use the fan near an open window to prevent a short circuit due to dripping rainwater.

The protective fan cage must not be removed before the fan has been disconnected from

the mains. Never use the fan without the protective cage.
Make sure that no objects (such as textiles) can get caught in the rotor blade.

Never leave the product unattended during use.

Only use the device when the protective fan cage is closed and in perfect condition.

Remove the mains plug from the mains socket after use and before cleaning.

Never cover the product during use.

Risk of injury! Do not insert any objects or fingers into the protective cage when the fan

is on.
Disconnect the fan from the mains before moving it.

The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.

Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the

mains socket using the intended grips.
Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.

Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put

under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme
heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged.
A damaged mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains

socket (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from
the mains socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commis-

sioned by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.

This device is only designed for household use and for the purpose for which it was manu-

factured.
The fan must be placed on a flat, stable surface.

Never move the fan by pulling on the cable. Ensure that the cable does not become tan-

gled.
Do not wrap the cable around the device or bend it.

Never use the fan directly next to a heat source.
