Basic safety instructions

The Montevo stand-up/sit-down desk may only be used and ope-
rated when in perfect working order and in compliance with the
Instruction sheet. The user undertakes to comply with the safety
regulations and warnings in the Instruction sheet at all times. In
addition to the Instruction sheet, general and local regulations
on accident prevention and environmental protection are to be
complied with. Nonconforming use of the product (i.e. for pur-
poses other than as home office furniture) can cause danger to
life and limb, as well as property damage. Nonconforming use is
therefore prohibited, and the company ASSMANN BÜROMÖBEL
GmbH & CO. KG cannot accept any liability for any injury, damage
or losses occurring in such cases. The warranty for correct, trouble-
free operation of the system components is also rendered void in
such cases.
The following uses are likewise prohibited:
• Lifting loads, use as a climbing aid or lifting platform
• use as a permanent storage area for weights > 80 kg
• outdoor use
• use in damp rooms.
Note that the desk may only be connected to power supplies with
the voltage specified in the technical data and or the manufacturer's
label. To prevent malfunctions, repairs may only be carried out by
authorized repair shops or by our suppliers' service personnel.

Regardless of the load, the duty cycle of 8% (1 min on / 12 min
off) as indicated on the data sheet may not be exceeded, since
it might cause the motor and the control box to overheat. Ex-
ceeding the duty cycle can significantly shorten the system's
service life. To prevent this, the temperature is checked inside
the control box, and the system is deactivated if the temperature
limit is exceeded. E-12 is shown on the display of the hand switch
(optional)! Another brief operation period is possible after a short
cooling-down period. The necessary duration of the cooling-
down period depends on the respective room temperature.
Ensure that none of the cables have been damaged during trans-
port. Defective parts must be replaced immediately with equiva-
lent new parts.

WARNING:
This device can be used by persons with reduced physical, sen-
sory, or mental abilities, or insufficient experience and knowledge,
provided they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the
device, and understand the corresponding resulting hazards.
Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user
maintenance by children is only permitted under supervision.

The Table is not a toy.

The Table must not be misused.
WARNING:
After each use, the table must be locked to prevent unintended
use.
WARNING:
Minimum distance to adjacent objects and structures must be >
230 mm. Risk of injury from crushing.
WARNING:
Montevo Home products are not resistant to oils used for cutting.
WARNING:
Risk of major malfunctions and serious injury when opening
Montevo Home products. It is prohibited to open the motor ca-
sings, the control box and the hand switch.
WARNING:
Liquids must not be allowed to leak into the plug connections.
Risk of short circuit.
WARNING:
A minimum distance of 25 mm must be ensured from adjacent
objects. Beware of crushing injuries.
WARNING:
If the enclosed power cable (with plug and socket) is damaged,
it must be replaced by an equivalent new cable (same voltage
and current rating). The device is only to be used with the power
supply unit provided.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
Always disconnect the desk from the mains supply before start-
ing any maintenance or cleaning.
