6. Operation

DANGER! Risk of injury!
Do not reach into the device or touch
hot or sharp parts.
6.1 Closing the foil
packaging
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
The device is designed for a maximum
operating time of 1 minute without inter-
ruption. After this, the device must re-
main switched off until it has cooled
down to room temperature.
NOTE: please open the packaging such
that straight opening edges form. Other-
wise straighten them with scissors before
closing.
The device is suitable for re-closing an exist-
ing foil packaging or plastic bag with a
thickness of 0.05 – 0.2 mm (e.g. crisps or
wine gum bags).
1. Tilt the safety bracket 3 downwards.
2. Insert the upper end of a foil packaging
into the end of the device marked with
the symbol
3. Carefully press the end marked with the
symbol 2 together and keep it
pressed together until the welding are-
as 4 heat up after several seconds.
4. Figure B: hold the packaging in one
hand. Pull the device evenly from one
edge of the packaging to the other and
weld them together.

6.2 Opening of a foil
packaging
1. Figure C: Tilt the safety bracket 3 up-
wards. It prevents the welding function
from being accidentally triggered.
2. Insert the upper end of a foil packaging
into the end of the device marked with
the symbol
3. Press the end marked with the symbol
7 together.
4. Figure C: hold the packaging in one
hand. Use the other hand to pull the de-
vice from one edge of the packaging to
the other and cut it open.
7. Cleaning and
maintenance of the
device
WARNING!
Do not use any sharp or abrasive clean-
ing aids.
Remove the batteries before cleaning.
• Wipe down the housing of the device
with a damp cloth when necessary.
