2 Homing to actual position
LinMot drives allow homing to a known actual position. This is a simple and reproducible
possibility for homing of the drive system (no additional sensors/switches required).
For this mode, it is required to fix the mechanical motor system to the required zero position
during the homing process.
The motor system must be moved by hand to the specified zero position. A suitable calliper
may be used to get the correct zero position for teaching the drive. It may be necessary to
mechanically lock the motor (stator and slider) temporarily.
Using the Motor Wizard, you define the reference method. Here, select "Actual Position". Motor
will be powered during homing, but is not moving. This is the reason, where temporary fixing
the motor's stator and slider positions may be helpful.
For next step, while the motor is mechanically fixed, measure the distance between slider end
to stator end at one side of the motor and enter this value.
