6. Operation
6.1 Basic safety information
Warning: Electric shock
• Only connect the device to a socket outlet (230 V) with a PE contact that
has been correctly installed by a qualified electrician.
• Couplings and connecting lines must be splash-proof.
• Use only if the power cables are in perfect condition.
• The electric motor is not explosion-protected!
Note:
Practice start-up with water first, and familiarise yourself with the techno-
logy and operation. In doing so, evaluate the nozzle size to see if it is suita-
ble for the application.
6.2 Operation/Control elements
6.2.1 Spraying Technique
Hold the spray gun approx. 10 to 20 cm from the surface. Do not move your arm in an
arc. Instead hold the spray gun at right angles to the surface and move your arm parallel
to the surface. Before pulling the trigger, make sure that the spray gun is already moving;
release the trigger while the gun is still in motion. The spray runs must overlap by approx.
50%.
Never move the gun beyond the horizontal position when spraying!
Movement parallel to surface
The nozzle outlet can become clogged after short interruptions of the work. Remove the
dried-on paint layer with the supplied cleaning brush or a cloth.
To prevent drying, wrap a damp cloth around the nozzle head.
