Installing the BEC Power Supply
Please ensure that you observe as large as possible between the BEC power
supply and the receiver when installing the BEC power supply.
The attachment of the BEC power supply is best carried out with double-sided adhesive tape
or servo tape.
Important!
As the BEC power supply can become warm during operation, sufficient cooling has
to be provided to the BEC power supply.
Initial Operation of the BEC Power Supply
Attention important!
Before you put the BEC power supply into operation for the first time, check whether
the drive/flight control unit you use also has a BEC switch to supply the power to the
receiver and the attached servos.
If this is the case, the BEC switch of the drive/flight control unit needs to be taken
out of operation.
• Simply disconnect the 3 pole connection cable between the drive/flight controller and the
receiver.
• Use a pin to remove the locking lug on the middle pin contact and push the plug-in connection
on the cable carefully out of the plug (see figure 3A).
• The plug-in contact which is now open is folded back (see fig 3B) and then insulated with
adhesive tape and attached to the 3-pole cable.
• Then connect the connector plug of the drive/flight controller back to the receiver.
As the controller is controlled via the impulse and minus cable, you do not need to
connect the middle contact to control the motor speed.
If required you can simply reinsert the contact into the plug to return it to the original state.
After the BEC power supply is connected to the rechargeable battery, a blue LED (6) on the
back of the circuitboard shows correct power supply.
Please note that The BEC power supply has no switching protection to avoid
excessive discharging of the rechargeable battery.
This is why the BEC power supply should be immediately removed from the drive
battery after its use.
