Safety Instructions

The guarantee will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance
with the operating instructions! We will not assume any responsibility for
consequential damage!
We will also not assume any responsibility for damage to assets or persons
caused by improper handling or failure to observe the safety instructions! In
such cases the warranty/guarantee is rendered void.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and
approval reasons (CE). Never disassemble the product, there are no components that need
to be set or serviced by you. Furthermore, the guarantee/warranty would also expire in such
a case!
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Please ensure that you observe the correct polarity when connecting the rechargeable drive
/ flight battery to the BEC power supply. Use plug connectors which guard against incorrect
polarity as incorrect polarity attachment can destroy the power supply.
• Only operate the BEC power supply within the allowed current and voltage limits (refer to the
"Technical Data").
• The BEC power supply must not get damp or wet.
• Disconnect the drive battery from the BEC power supply whenever the model is not in use.
• Always turn on the transmitter first before connecting the BEC power supply with the battery!
• Before turning off the transmitter, disconnect the BEC power supply from the battery.
• Handle the product carefully and do not drop it. Knocks, blows or even a fall from a low height
can damage it.
• Make sure when handling electric models that parts of your body or other objects are never
located within the turning range of the propellers or in an area where rotating engine parts
or other components may pose a danger.
• The current uptake of the receiver and the connected servo must not exceed the maximum
allowed current value for the BEC power supply.
• Only operate the BEC power supply with a rechargeable battery pack, never via a plug-in
power supply.
• Keep the biggest possible distance between the receiver and flight control system for the
installation, to avoid any possible interaction. Use the enclosed ferrite ring against interference.
• Do not install the antenna cable of the receiver parallel to live cables.
• When the model is operated, sufficient cooling has to be provided to the BEC power supply.
• Regularly check the BEC power supply and the cables with the plug-in connectors for any
damage. If you do find evidence of damage, then do not operate the BEC power supply
again.
• Before recharging the rechargeable drive battery it has to be disconnected from the BEC
power supply.

The BEC power supply (1)is fitted with "open" cable ends at the input cable for the current
supply (2). In practice it has proven best to connect the input cable for the BEC power supply
with the rechargeable battery connection cable of the drive/flight controller and to solder them
together into the connection plug.
Please ensure that you observe the correct polarity when connecting the plug as the BEC
power supply can be destroyed if the polarity is incorrect. The polarity of the rechargeable
battery cables is colour-coded: Red = plus (+) and black = minus (-).
Before you can connect the output cable to the servo plug (3) at the rechargeable battery
output of the receiver, you must pass the cable through the ferrite ring (4) a total of 5 times as
per figures 1 and 2. The ferrite ring can be surrounded with a suitable piece of shrink-tubing
to affix the cable. Then connect the servo plug on your receiver.
Note also the documentation provided with the receiver to ensure correct connection of the
servo and rechargeable battery.
If the jumper is placed on the middle and upper pin contact, the output voltage for the receiver
and the attached servos is 6V (see illustration 2, figure A).
If the jumper is placed on the middle and lower pin contact, the output voltage for the receiver
and the attached servos is 5V (see illustration 2, figure B).

Important!
Before you begin to operate the BEC power supply, you must use the jumper (5)
supplied to adjust the output voltage to 5V or 6V.
EC 26V
EC 26V
You should always attempt to run the receiver unit with 6V as the servos will operate
faster and will have considerably more power.
Important!
The servos and the receiver must however be accordingly constructed for an
operational voltage of 6V.
If you have absolutely no concrete technical data for the servo or the receiver, or the
servo and receiver documentation only allow an operating voltage of 4.8V, then you
need to set the operating voltage on the BEC power supply to 5V.
