1. Tilt the device backwards by its
wheels and carefully place it on
its back.

screws (15) from the housing
plate (16).
3. Remove the housing plate (16).
4. Remove the blockage in the de-
vice.
5. When replacing the housing

oned correctly. It is fixed based
on the blade shaft (17) and the
pressure plate pin (18a).
6. Screw the housing plate (16)
with the four hexagon socket
screws (15).
Adjusting the pressure
plate
Running-in a new machine can sometimes
require the pressure plate to be adjusted at
shorter intervals at the beginning.
You can see the right time to adjust the
pressure plate when the shredded material
only appears crushed and is still held to-
gether in one piece.
1. Turn the device on.
2. Slowly turn the adjuster screw (8)
clockwise ( – ) until grinding noises are
audible and small metal chips are ejec-
ted.
Avoid adjusting the pressure plate too
far and causing unnecessary wear.
Setting/adjusting the pressure plate
can result in metal cuttings!
Shredded material with metal cuttings
is considered special waste and must
NOT be composted. Dispose of me-
tal cuttings/special waste properly.

Maintenance and
cleaning
Have any work that is not
described in these instruc-
tions performed by an au-
thorised customer service
centre. Only use original
parts.
Wear gloves when handling the
cutting roll.
Before any maintenance or clea-
ning work, turn off the machine,
unplug the mains plug and wait for
the cutting roll to come to a stand-
still.
General cleaning and
maintenance work
Do not spray down the
shredder with water.
Danger of electric shock!
• Always keep the machine, wheels and
ventilation holes clean. Use a brush or
cloth for cleaning, but do not use any
cleaning agents or solvents.
• Check the machine, especially the
protective equipment, before each use
for damage such as loose, worn or da-
maged parts. Ensure that all nuts, bolts
and screws are firmly in place.
• Check the covers and protective de-
vices for damage and correct fit. Repla-
ce these if necessary.
• Store the machine in a dry place out
of reach of children. Do not enclose
the machine in nylon sacks as this may
cause moisture to form.
