1.4. Heat and fire hazard

Do not operate the unit near highly flammable sub-
stances, e.g. alcohol or gasoline.
The projector may only be operated when mounted
securely and with the lt of the projector head locked.
A descended projector or a projector head which has
dropped down can cause surfaces to catch fire.
The projector's beam of light can reach high temperat-
ures at close range. Keep flammable materials at a safe
distance of 0.5 m / 1.6 from the light exit point. This
distance increases the more projectors are used to illu-
minate a locaon. Make sure to keep flammable ma-
terials (e.g. curtains) far away from the hazardous
area.
The projector heats up during operaon. Risk of burns!
Allow the projector to cool down for at least ten
minutes before changing a projecon mof or per-
forming other tasks on the projector.
The projector is cooled acvely or passively, depending
on its type, and requires an unobstructed flow of air
for cooling. Keep a minimum distance of 0.3 m / 1
from walls and objects on all sides.
Do not cover the projector with sheeng or insulang
material. Do not operate the projector in a closed cas-
ing. Effecve cooling is only possible if the discharged
warm air can escape and cool air can flow in freely.
Protect the front lens from direct sunlight. Sunlight is
concentrated through the front lens and can cause
damage and fire inside the projector.

1.5. Optical radiation hazard
According to the DIN EN 62471-5:2015 standard, the pro-
jector is classified in risk group 2 (RG-2) of the photobiolo-
gical hazard classes. To avoid the risk of glare from visible
opcal radiaon, observe the following safety regulaons:
Do not stare directly into the light beam.
Never look into the light beam at a short distance
(< 1 m / 3.3 ). Permanent eye injury may occur if you
expose yourself to the light beam within the hazardous
zone.
Install the projector in a locaon where a distance of
more than 1 m / 3.3 can be kept from the eyes of
people exposed to the beam of light.
Only change the projecon mof (gobo) when the pro-
jector is switched off.
Do not modify the opcal components of the projector
(projecon lens, other lenses, light source). Only use
original accessories and replace damaged components
only with original spare parts. A modified device may
be categorised into a higher photobiological risk group.
1.6. Notes on Mounting
The projector must be firmly aached to a stable and load-
bearing surface or structure.
Local regulaons on the safety of buildings, especially regu-
laons on places of assembly, must be observed:
Building regulaons of the federal states: Safety of
construcon sites and buildings
Regulaons on places of assembly
Regulaon on the construcon and operaon of spe-
cial buildings (Special Construcon Regulaon)
