Equipment
The child safety seat has been designed,
tested and certified in accordance with the
requirements of the European Standard for
Child Safety Equipment (ECE R 44/04).
The approval mark E (encircled) and the
approval number are located on the appro-
val label (sticker on the child safety seat).
KIDFIX has been tested and approved as a
combination of seat cushion and backrest.
Caution! Neither of these parts may be
used in combination with other seat cus-
hions or backrests.

This approval shall be invalidated if you
make any modifications to the child safety
seat. No modifications may be made to the
child safety seat other than by the manuf-
acturer.
Use KIDFIX exclusively for securing your
child in a vehicle. It is in no way suitable as
a seat or toy in the home.

Using in the vehicle

Please observe the instructions in your ve-
hicle manual for the use of child safety
seats.

If you secure your child in the child seat using
only a lap belt, the child may be seriously or
even fatally injured in the event of an acci-
dent
.
KIDFIX child seat
KIDFIX is approved for two different

methods of installation:

• using the KIDFIX locking arms into the
ISOFIX fastening points in the vehicle
(semi-universal).
• using the vehicle's lap-shoulder belt
(universal).

The additional fastening system with the
KIDFIX locking arms is based on semi-uni-
versal approval. The seat may be used only
in those vehicles cited in the enclosed
vehicle type list. The latest version is avai-
lable from your Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre or on the homepage of the manufac-
turer Britax-Römer: www.britax.eu or
www.roemer.eu.
Caution! For the vehicles listed we cannot
always guarantee fastening with KIDFIX
locking arms for all body sizes. Please ob-
serve the information in the type list.
