yourself and bystanders off the level of the rotating accessories and run the power tool at
maximal idle speed for one minute. Damaged accessories usually break apart during this test
period.
I)
Wear personal protective equipment. Use Je face protection after application,
Safety goggles or safety helmet. If necessary, dust mask, hearing protection,
gloves and work apron that can catch small abrasive or piece splinters or stop workpiece
splinters. The eye protection must be able to protect against flying debris that arises during the
various works. The dust mask or respirator must be able to filter the particles produced during
your work. Prolonged exposure to high-intensity noise can lead to hearing damage.
j)
Keep bystanders at a safe distance from the work area. Everyone entering the work area must
wear personal protective equipment. Fragments of the workpiece or that of a broken
accessory can fly away and cause injuries outside the immediate working area.
k)
Position the cable outside the rotating accessory. If you lose control, the cable can be cut or
pinched, and your hand or arm can be pulled into the spinning accessory.
l)
Never put down the power tool before the accessories have come to a complete standstill. The
rotating accessory can get stuck on the surface and snatch the power tool out of your control.
m)
Do not let the power tool run when wearing it on the side. Accidental contact with the rotating
accessory could catch your clothes and pull the accessory into your body.
n)
Regularly clean the vents of the power tool. The motor's blower sucks the dust into the
housing, and excessive accumulation of metal powder can cause too much electrical hazards.
o)
Do not operate the power tool near flammable materials. Sparks can ignite these materials.
p)
Do not use accessories that require liquid coolant. The use of water or other liquid coolant can
cause electric shock or shock.
2) SETBACK AND WARNINGS
-
Setback is a sudden reaction to a pinched or hooked rotating wheel, support plate or brush,
pinching or hooking causes a rapid abrasion of the rotating accessory, which in turn causes
the uncontrolled power tool to be forced in the direction opposite to the rotation of the
accessory at the point of entrapment.
-
For example, if a grinding wheel is trapped by the workpiece, the edge of the scheibe, which
burrows into the clamping area material, which allows the wheel to climb out or sprout out. The
wheel can either jump towards the operator or away from ihm.
-
Setback is the result of improper use of the power tool and/or incorrect operating procedures
or incorrect operating conditions and can be avoided by the precautions listed below.
a)
Keep the power tool firmly in the grip and position your body and arm so that you can
withstand setback forces. Always use the help handle, if any, to gain control over the setback
or torque response during startup. The operator can control the following torque reactions or
recoil forces if the appropriate precautions are taken.
b)
Never hold your hand near the rotating accessory. The accessory can
beat back over your hand.
c)
Do not stop your body in the area where the power tool moves when a setback occurs. The
setback pushes the tool in the direction of the movement of the wheel at the point where it
gets stuck.
d)
Be especially careful when machining corners, sharp edges, etc. Avoid impact and jamming of
the accessories. Corners, sharp edges or jumps have the tendency to hook the rotating
accessories and cause a loss of control or setback.
e)
Do not attach a saw chain carving blade or toothed saw blade. Such leaves
often lead to setbacks and loss of control.
