Special features (luminaires with emergency light function)
Functionality:
During mains and light operation, an integrated battery is charged and monitored. In case of mains failure, the luminaire
switches to rechargeable battery operation. In rechargeable battery mode, a luminant with reduced luminous flux is
available.
When the mains supply is restored, there is an automatic switchover to mains operation. Now the full luminous flux of
both luminants is available. The rechargeable battery is charged automatically when the mains power returns.
Please refer to the technical data for information on charging and lighting duration.
The LED display integrated in the lid provides a visual check of the charge (C, see page 14).
The following operating states are displayed (in mains operation):
LED blinks GREEN
LED lights up GREEN
LED blinks YELLOW
LED blinks RED
The following operating states are displayed (in emergency lighting mode):
LED lights up RED
LED flashes RED
Button control element:
By pressing the button (D), the emergency light function can be interrupted during rechargeable battery operation.
It is not possible to switch the emergency light back on manually.
Only after the mains supply returns and fails again there is an automatic switchover to rechargeable battery operation.
INFORMATION!
Use this function to keep the rechargeable battery at a medium charge level, e. g. to shorten the charging time after
the mains returns or if you intend to store the luminaire for a longer period of time.
This protects the rechargeable battery and increases its service life.
Functionality (toggle switch ON):
The luminaire is without light function when mains operated. At the same time, two integrated batteries are charged and
monitored. If the mains supply fails, the luminaire switches to rechargeable battery operation.
In rechargeable battery mode, two luminants with reduced luminous flux are available. When the mains supply returns,
there is an automatic switchover to mains operation. The rechargeable battery is charged automatically when the mains
power returns. Please refer to the technical data for information on charging and lighting duration.
Two integrated LED indicators (E and H, see page 14) are located in the lid for visual control of the charge of both rechargeable
batteries.
