8.1 When to charge

• before the sunshade is used for the first time
• if the sunshade adjusting motors no longer react
• before storing the battery pack
• before reusing the sunshade after long storage periods (winter months)
• every two months during longer storage periods

8.2 Removing the battery pack

➭ Pull the battery pack out of the battery
compartment.

8.3 Charging the battery pack

Charging:

➭ first connect the battery charger to the
mains power supply.

then connect the battery charger cable
to the battery pack connection socket.

(a) red LED
(b) green LED = charging completed
After charging:

first remove the battery charger cable
from the battery pack.

➭ then disconnect the battery charger
from the mains power supply.
Caution: Accident hazard!
• Although fitted with an automatic
cut-off, the battery charger must not
remain connected to the battery pack
over a long period (winter storage).

8.4 Inserting battery pack

➭ Clean contact areas in battery compartment
and on battery pack.
➭ Align guide on battery pack with guide channel
in battery compartment.
➭ Push battery pack into battery compartment.
Note
Before inserting the battery pack, ensure that
the contacts in the battery compartment and
on the battery pack are clean and dry.
