4.7 Floor sleeve
The floor sleeve is fitted to the bottom of the
sunshade stand tube.
It is used to centre the stand tube in the floor
stand and ensures that the sunshade is stably
mounted.
4.8 Protective cover
The protective cover, made of weather-
resistant PE fabric, protects the sunshade from
damage to the frame arms and the canopy
material in any weather.
Despite this the sunshade should not be left
out in the open in extreme weather conditions
such as storms or heavy frost, but should be
kept in a dry and protected location.
5.0 Fittings: Electrical components
5.1 Adjusting motors
Electrical adjustments to the sunshade take
place using two adjusting motors mounted in
the slider tube.
The top drive carries out opening and closing
of the sunshade frame.
The tube motor is used to adjust the
sunshade lean.
Movement of the adjusting motors is controlled
using a built-in electronics control box.
5.2 Control electronics
The control electronics is fitted with limit
switches, which automatically turn off
the motors when they have reached their limit
position.
Safety switches switch the adjusting motors off
if an obstacle is encountered during opening or
closing of the sunshade, or lean adjustment of
the slider tube.
These limit and safety switches prevent
overloading of the motors and damage to the
entire adjustment mechanism.
The battery pack built into the slider tube
provides power to the electronics and the
adjusting motors.
The control electronics is operated using
a radio remote control.
