6 Commissioning

Starting
- Provide compressed air to the nozzles.
- Switch on the power supply.

7 Functional Check

The indicator light on the power supply unit shows whether high-voltage is present.
With a Simco-ION voltage detector, it can be checked the whether there is high-voltage present
on the emitter points of the nozzle(s).
A field probe could be used to determine the efficiency of the nozzles. Please do measure the
static discharge on the material to be discharged both before and after blowing it out with the
nozzle(s). The measured charge should disappear after being blown clean.

8 Maintenance

Warning:
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
- Clean the ionization points of the nozzles regularly with a non-metal brush.
- In the case of strong contamination, isopropyl alcohol can be used to clean the ionization
points.
NOTE: Avoid excessive use of liquid detergents. Allow the nozzles to dry thoroughly before
they are reused.

9 Faults

Warnings:
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
- Electrical installation and repairs must be carried out by a skilled electrical engineer
according to the applicable national and local regulations.
