1 Introduction

Simco-ION ionising nozzle type HE is used to clean and neutralise electrostatically charged
surfaces. By using compressed air, hard-to-reach surfaces can also be neutralised and cleaned.
The ionising nozzles can be supplied as single nozzles with either a standard or a shielded
cable. They can optionally be supplied with additional ionising nozzles in series on the available
cable. The voltage of the HE ionising nozzle is restricted, which means that the emitter points
are limitedly touch-safe.

2 Description and operation

Connected to a Simco-ION power supply unit and compressed air, the ionising nozzle produces
an air flow that is rich in positive and negative ions. By aiming the air flow at an electrostatically
charged surface, an exchange of electrons takes place, due to which the surface is neutralised.
This prevents blown off particles from reattaching themselves while blowing the surface clean.
The HE ionising nozzle can be mounted with the mounting bracket and the supplied mounting
screws.
