Operation
The breathing bags represent the movable breathing volume of the circulatory
system. During operation, they absorb the exhaled gas that enters the device from
the diver via the breathing hoses. If the overpressure is too high, it directs part of
the volume to the relief valve, the rest of the gas then flows through into the CO
absorber, and the gas then flows into the inhalation bag. The CO
collects in the inhalation bag, and fresh gas flows into the breathing bag via the lung
demand valve with gas dosage connected here. The thus prepared breathing gas is
then available to the diver via the inhalation hose.

Twin breathing hose

Two identical breathing hoses with connections form the double breathing hose
assembly with the valve mouthpiece.
The twin breathing hose consists of the following 3 components:
– Inhalation hose
– Valve mouthpiece with mouthpiece closure and non-return valves with
headband
– Exhalation hose
The breathing hoses are connected to the rebreather by plug-in connectors.
The inhalation and exhalation hose connections are the same and can be used
both on the inhalation side and on the exhalation side. When assembling, only the
orientation of the valve mouthpiece has to be observed; there is a mark on the
mouthpiece indicating the gas flow direction. The breathing hoses are connected to
the valve mouthpiece by screw connections. The non-return valves of the breathing
circuit are located in the valve mouthpiece. The valve mouthpiece can be closed by
a roller slide with actuating handle. A headband is used to secure the mouthpiece to
the diver's head. The bite mouthpiece is the interface to the diver.

Filling the compressed gas cylinders

According to EN 12 021 or corresponding national regulations, the expanded gas
should have a water vapor content of less than 50 mg/m3 and be odorless and
tasteless.
WARNING
Fire and explosion hazard!
Oxygen can cause spontaneous combustion of oil and grease. This may result in a
fire or explosion.
► Keep the high-pressure connectors (plug-in connecting piece and cylinder
valve) as well as the O-rings in the pressure reducers and on the valves free of
oil and grease, or use a suitable oxygen grease.
WARNING
Risk of poisoning!
If the gases are mixed up or contaminated, there is a risk of poisoning when diving.
► Ensure proper filling and correct labeling of the compressed gas cylinders.
1. Label the compressed gas cylinder with "Oxygen" or "Nitrox B", "Nitrox C", or
"Nitrox D" according to its contents.
