Error
Machine Problems
The cut-off wheel does not rotate.
No cooling water.
No water in the cleaning hose.
Water leaking.
Workpieces or cutting chamber
rusty.
Protection guard window blurred.
Quick-clamping device unable to
hold the workpiece.

4. Trouble-Shooting

Explanation
The protection guard is open.
Cutting motor overloaded due to
heavy use.
Cooling valve lever is in cleaning
position.
The nozzle is clogged.
Cooling valve lever is in cutting
position.
Leak in a hose of Recirculation
Cooling Unit.
Water overflow in the cooling water
tank.
Insufficient additive for cooling fluid.
The machine is left with closed
protection guard.
Insufficient cleaning.
The quick-clamping device is not
balanced.
Clamping heart worn.
Action
Press the protection guard
completely down.
If this does not help: Call a Struers
service technician.
Open the protection guard and let
the cutting motor cool down for
about 5 - 10 min.
Turn the cooling valve lever
clockwise (lever horizontal).
Unscrew the jet and clean.
If this does not help:
Unscrew the housing on the nozzle
side and clean inside. If possible
use compressed air.
Turn the cooling valve lever
counter-clockwise (lever vertical).
Check the hose and tighten the
hose clamp.
Remove the excess water from the
tank.
Add Struers Additive for cooling fluid
to the cooling water, using the
correct concentration. Please follow
the instructions in the Recirculation
Cooling Unit Instruction Manual.
Leave the protection guard open to
let the cutting chamber dry.
Clean with mild soapy water.
Adjust the screw underneath the
clamping column. Use a 3mm Allen
key.
Call Struers service technician.
