5.2 General
The XC is supplied with a non-slip stand for placement in a free or fixed position on a table top
or workbench. Holes in the stand allow the XC to be mounted in a fixed position.
To elevate the mounting, the optional elevated pedestal can be used. See the spare parts list.
The XC can be equipped with the optional air filter kit for use in dusty environments. The air
filter kit consists of a polyurethane foam filter including mounting material. The air filter can be
cleaned and reused.
The discharge time depends on the distance to the object to be discharged and the air speed.
Decreasing the distance or increasing the air speed gives a faster discharge. For an almost
immediate discharge, the object to be discharged can be held 15 cm away from the XC.

5.3 Aerostat
XC placement/assembly
- Mount the stand to the XC using the two-star knob screws.
Note: Install the spring washer between the bracket and the housing and the washer between
the bracket and the star knob screw.
- Always place the XC on a stable surface or mount the XC in the location of your choice, so
that the largest possible surface area is covered by the ionized airflow.
- Make sure that the distance from the discharge opening of the XC to the object or surface to
be discharged is 30 cm to 1 m.
- The airflow can be adjusted up or down by loosening the two-star knob screws on the stand
and tilting the blower. Tighten the knobs again to lock the desired position.
5.4 Electrical installation
- Set the XC's POWER switch to "0".
- Plug the supplied power cable into the back of the XC.
- Insert the plug of the supplied power cable into a suitable socket with an earthed connection.
6. Commissioning and operation
Switching on
- Ensure that the mains power is provided to the XC.
- Switch on the XC with the "POWER" switch on "I".
- Adjust the airflow with the "FAN SPEED" control set to the desired speed.
- If desired, switch the heating on or off with the "WARM AIR" switch.
