Lock the brake
Locking the brake in the locked position is another
necessary step in preparing the wheel tree for
loading� Proceed as follows:
1� Make sure the brake is working correctly (22)�
2� Swing the brake lever inward toward the con-
necting tube (18)�
The brake ready for use when the locking pin
(4) on the brake clicks into a hole on the wheel
(11)�
3� To do this, move the wheel tree until the lock-
ing pin clicks into place in the wheel�
When you swing the brake lever outward
toward the wheel, the locking pin on the brake
disengages from the wheel and you can move
the wheel tree freely�
4� Lock the brake in the locked position before
loading the wheel tree�
Make sure that the locking pin on the brake
clicks into place in the wheel�
The wheel tree is now secured� You can begin
loading the product�
Load the wheel tree
Warning!
Risk of accident and injury!
When loaded improperly, the wheel tree improp-
erly may tip over, posing a risk of accident and
injury� Prevent the risk of the product tipping
over by heeding the following instructions when
loading rims / rims with tires:
Only load the wheel tree when it is standing on
an even and stable surface�
Make sure only to load the wheel tree when the
brake is clicked into place in the locked position�
Always begin loading from the lowest rest�
Heed the maximum permissible load weight�
(Max� load 100 kg, evenly distributed; max�
25 kg per rest)
The wheel tree is now secured and ready for
loading� Proceed as follows:
1� Lift the rim / rim with tire onto the lowest rest
(2)�
Make sure that the outer side of the rim is up�
2� Guide the rim's center cap bore over the lower
tube (without plug) (3) and place the rim on
the rest, with its contact surface facing down-
ward�
3� Pick up the locking pin (4) and insert it into the
nearest higher pair of holes�
Heed the width of the tires when selecting a
pair of holes� There are two different rows of
holes to choose from� The rows of holes are
offset to one another by 90° and labeled:
• 145 mm × 220 mm, suitable for tire widths
of max� 220 mm,
• 225 mm × 255 mm, suitable for tire widths
of max� 255 mm�
4� Attach a rest to the lower tube (without plug)�
Make sure that the lower flange of the rest
clicks into the two grooves on the locking pin�
5� Lift the next rim / rim with tire onto the sec-
ond rest�
Follow the instructions under step 1�
6� Attach the end tube with plug (1) to the lower
tube (without plug)�
7� Follow steps 2 to 4 to continue loading�
The wheel tree is now loaded�
