1 Intended use
The product is intended to be used as an outdoor garden light.
The product is powered by a rechargeable battery that is recharged via the solar panel during the daylight
hours.
The product can be controlled via a TUYA mobile app using a Bluetooth connection.
The product has an IP44 ingress protection rating. It is splash proof and suitable for outdoor use. Do not
submerge in water.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be damaged.
Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to
third parties only together with the operating instructions.

4 Description of symbols

5 Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety informa-
tion. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling,
we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such
cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
5.1 General
■
The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
■
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing mater-
ial for children.
■
If you have questions which remain unanswered by this information product, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
■
Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an authorised re-
pair centre.
5.2 Handling
■
Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
5.3 LED light
■
Do not look directly into the LED light!
■
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
5.4 Li-ion battery
■
Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable battery might
cause an explosion or a fire!
■
Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the battery or the product
into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
■
Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do are not using the product. Due to the re-
chargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to discharge the rechargeable battery
first.
5.5 Operating environment
■
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
■
Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
■
Never operate the product in direct proximity of strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields or transmit-
ter aerials or HF generators. Doing so can prevent the product from functioning properly.
5.6 Operation
■
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appliance.
■
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be guar-
anteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

6 Notes on battery health
To charge the rechargeable battery, it is important that the solar panel is exposed to sunlight during the
day.
Consider the following:
■
Keep the solar panel clean. Dust and dirt covering the solar panel reduce charging efficiency.
■
Avoid complete discharge. During extended periods without sufficient sunlight, the rechargeable
battery can completely discharge and get damaged. To prevent this, switch the product off.
■
Cold temperatures adversely affect the battery life. During cold weather, switch the product off
and store it in a dry and warm location.
7 Getting started
7.1 Charging for the first time
When using the product for the first time or after prolonged periods of low sunlight, fully charge the re-
chargeable battery for 2 days in sunlight.
1. (If an insulation strip protrudes from the battery compartment) pull it out to establish the power supply.
2. Cover the solar panel. If the light goes on, hold down the button on the solar panel until the light goes
out. The light is switched off.
3. Expose the solar panel to sunlight for as long as possible to charge the rechargeable battery.
4. On the next day, charge again.

After 2 days, the rechargeable battery is charged and the product ready for use.
7.2 Installing the mobile app
Install the TUYA mobile app on your mobile device to operate and control the product.
1. Download the mobile app "Smart Life - Smart Living" from the Google App Store or the Apple App
Store.
2. Set up a TUYA account.
8 Installation
8.1 Finding a location
Find a location that exposes the solar module to full sunlight to allow the rechargeable battery to recharge
during the day.
Consider the following:
■
The solar panel should be exposed to maximum sunlight. Do not set up the product in the shade or
under any cover.
■
Avoid the direct proximity of other light sources such as yard or streetlights, otherwise the product will
not switch on automatically at nightfall.
■
Avoid locations that are likely to be flooded.
■
If the product has a ground spike, the location should be level and sufficiently firm (example: soil).
Stony subsurfaces damage the ground spike.
8.2 Securing in the ground
After selecting a suitable location, secure the product in the ground.
1. Attach the ground spike to the base of the product.
2. Firmly hold the ground spike and insert it into the ground.
3. Check if the product secured. If not, find a more suitable location.
8.3 Adjusting the lamp head position
For optimal positioning, you can adjust the position of the light head.
1. On the side of the product base, loosen the nut.
2. Adjust the head as needed.
3. Tighten the nut.
4. (If needed) use a suitable screwdriver to adjust the angle of the solar panel.
9 Operation
After the mobile app is connected to the product, you can use the app to operate and control the product.
9.1 Switching on and off manually
Use the button on the product to switch the light on and off manually. When the product is switched off
manually, control via mobile app will no longer be possible.
Important:
You will generally operate the product during nighttime. To operate the product during daylight, you
must cover the solar panel to simulate nighttime.

To switch on, hold down the button until the light switches on.

To switch off, hold down the button until the light switches off.
9.2 Connecting mobile app and product
For mobile app control, you must connect mobile app and product via Bluetooth.

RECONDITIONS

The TUYA mobile app "Smart Life - Smart Living" is installed on your mobile device.
1. On the product, hold down the button until the light switches on.
2. With the light on, press the button in the following sequence:
OFF → ON → OFF → ON.

The pairing mode is activated.
3. On your mobile device, activate Bluetooth and the location.
4. Open the mobile app.
5. Under the lighting products, select Solar Light (BLE).
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the product to the app.

You have connected the mobile app to the product.

The mobile app will automatically attempt to reconnect the next time you start the app.
