Power supply
NOTICE
Overcurrent
Defective or missing fuses in the power supply for the
device will damage it.
► Use a fuse or an intelligent power supply (current
monitoring designed for a maximum of 4 A).
► Connect the incoming IO-Link line to the sensor hub.
NOTICE
Loss of function and damage to the device
Improper setup, e.g., due to incorrect connection or
polarity of the connections, can cause a loss of function
or damage to the product.
► Take measures to prevent incorrect connection or
reverse polarity.
► Prevent tampering at the connections.
► Never exceed a voltage of 36 V at the connections.
The supply voltage for the module is provided via the
IO-Link interface from the higher-level IO-Link master.
► Connect the incoming IO-Link line to the sensor hub.

Shielding and cable routing
Shielding
The connection to the higher-level IO-Link master is made
with a standard sensor cable.
Digital sensors are connected to the described hub using
standardized, unshielded sensor cables.
Cable length
The IO-Link connection cable may be max. 20 meters
long.
