4 Adjustment

4.1 Factory adjustment of the extension assist and axis friction

The KINEGEN.air comes in the following pre-adjusted position:

4.2 Adjustments on the extension assist

Counter-clockwise rotation = decreases tension
Clockwise rotation = increases tension
Achtung!
When there is low preload on the extension assist and higher
pneumatic extension resistance, the knee joint might not come
automatically to complete extension. This is no functional
deficit.

Increase the load of the extension
spring by turning the adjustment disc
clockwise in the spring cylinder.
Support for mechanical vernier
adjustments:
By dint of the preload of the extension
assist, the flexion resistance can be
increased additionally. For patients
with very slow gait speed the spring
can give a subsidiary push towards
extension in the lower leg.
