The 3A100 KINEGEN.air is approved for activity level 1,5 bis 3 according to
Streifeneder walky-system and for maximum body weight of up to 125 kg/275
lbs, including carried and supported loads.

2 Description and Function

2.1 Application

The safety knee KINEGEN.air 3A1000 is exclusively intended for the supply
with protheses of the lower extremities.

2.2 Construction

The upper and lower joint section is connected by the axial clip, the upper
joint is led by the independent axle, the lower joint by the knee axle. The
swing block accepts the slotted brake bushing which surrounds the knee
axis. Knee security increases when load on the prosthesis causes a higher
resistance between knee axle and brake bushing. In the unloaded condition
the compression spring and the elasticity of the swing block release the bra-
ke effect. Even in loading the prosthesis in a flexed position (up to 30°), the
desired safety can still be guaranteed. An integrated extension spring assists
the dampened flexion progressively. The KINEGEN.air is a knee joint with
shock absorbing action and double-chamber pneumatic technology.
The cover design prevents the cosmetic foam from damage.
