Children over 8 years as well as mentally, sensory and physically
impaired persons may only use the device if they have been informed
in detail about the functions and safety precautions by a supervisor
responsible for them beforehand and understand the associated risks.
Precautions
•
The unit is operated with a 12 V power supply that is earthed via the
negative pole of the battery.
•
Follow the connection diagrams exactly to prevent damage caused by
incorrect connections.
•
Before connecting the radio, remove 5 mm of the insulation layer from
both ends of the cable.
•
Do not switch on the radio until all connection cables are connected.
•
Insulate all exposed parts to avoid short circuits with the bodywork.
Bundle all cables and wires into one strand and make sure that they
have no contact with metal parts.
Note: If your vehicle is equipped with a computer or navigation
device, the stored data could be completely lost if the battery clamp is
disconnected during installation.
