Foreseeable misuse

Foreseeable misuse includes:
– Cooling, dehumidification and ventilation of air in
rooms/spaces that are not closed, or outdoor
use.
– Cooling, dehumidification and ventilation of air
without adherence to prescribed clearance dis-
tances and operating conditions.
14.3

Safety devices

Operating the device without properly installed and
configured safety devices poses a risk to life and
limb. Do not modify, dismantle or disable safety de-
vices. All safety devices must be freely accessible at
all times.
Familiarize yourself with the safety devices, in order
to be able to prevent or minimise personal injury
and/or damage to property.
The figure below shows the safety devices on the
dehumidifier.

The device has the following safety devices:
Signalling devices
The control panel features indicators that signal the
operating state of the device (for details, see Control
and display elements [ 27]).
Guards
Guards protect hazardous sections of the device.
They do not affect its operation.
Guards prevent direct access to the rotating or mov-
ing parts of the device. They must only be removed
for setup, maintenance or repair work and must be
mounted again before restarting the device.

The dehumidifier is equipped with the following
guards:
– Housing
– Safety grille for access protection at the air in-
take and outlet openings.
Other safety devices
– The power supply unit for the device is fitted with
an earthed plug.

Control and display elements

The device is operated using the control panel in-
stalled at the side of the device.

– FAN SPEED indicator: Displays the set speed
of the fan (LOW = low speed / HIGH = high
speed).
– ALARM indicator – displays a malfunction or
an alarm: The "ALARM" indicator illuminates red
if a malfunction occurs or an alarm message ap-
pears on the display (see also Malfunctions dur-
ing operation [ 32]).
– MODE indicator: Displays the selected mode:
– COOL: The device is in "COOLING" mode.
This indicator flashes during defrosting or if
the target temperature is reached.
– DRYER: The device is in "DRY-
ING/DEHUMIDIFICATION" mode.
This indicator flashes during defrosting or if
the target humidity temperature is reached.
– FAN: The device is in "VENTILATION"
mode.
– ON/OFF button: Press the "ON/OFF" button to
switch the device on and off. The "ON/OFF" indi-
cator illuminates green when switched on and
