Foreword

These Installation Instructions will help you to use the TA 10 correctly, safely and cost efficiently. Below,
this assembly is referred to simply as equipment.
These Instructions are intended for all persons bringing this equipment into service, and operating, using,
servicing, cleaning or disposing of the equipment. In particular, the Instructions are aimed at service
technicians, trained specialist personnel, and qualified and authorised operating personnel. Each of these
persons must have read and understood the content of these Instructions.
Following these Instructions helps to avoid danger and increases the reliability and service life of the
equipment. Please also pay attention to the binding regulations on accident prevention in the country and
location of use, and the generally recognised technical regulations for safe and proper working.
You can find further instructions and information on the individual components in the documents of the
respective manufacturers. These documents are considered part of these Instructions.
Always keep all instruction manuals together with the system documentation. Make sure that the Instruc-
tions are available to the operator.
The Instructions are part of the equipment package. Hand over all Instructions if you sell or pass on the
equipment to a third party.

Usage for the intended purpose

intermittent blowdown valve.
The TA 10 programme-controlled blowdown system is suitable for GESTRA MPA... intermittent blowdown
valves.
It is used in steam boiler plants for keeping the boiler water in good condition, particularly during operation
when supervision is limited or not constant.

Improper use

Do not use the equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.

DANGER
Warning of a dangerous situation that results in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Warning of a dangerous situation that may possibly result in death or serious injury.
ATTENTION
Warning of a situation that results in damage to property or the environment.
