5.3 Connecting the extension IR receiver

If necessary, connect the optional extension IR receiver via the 3.5 mm plug to the jack EXT IR RECEIVER.

5.4 Connection to the mains

Finally, connect the power supply unit to the power input jack of the unit and the power cable to the power
supply unit. Plug the mains plug to a mains socket. The power cable can be secured to the unit via the strain
relief. Use the unit only with the supplied power unit. Always disconnect the mains connector when you wish
to change connections, move the unit to a different place or if it is not used for a longer period.

5.5 Connecting two units in series

To expand the system to 14 zones in 2/7 mode, two units can be connected in parallel.
1. Connect each speaker output of an amplifier via the optional Y-cables to the screw terminals ZONE A of
both units (see fig. 3 on page 4).
2. If a second amplifier is used, connect it to the screw terminals ZONE B of both units.

5.6 Inserting/replacing the batteries

1. To insert the batteries, remove the cover on the rear side of the remote control.
2. Insert two 1.5 V micro batteries (type AAA) as indicated in the battery compartment. Close the
compartment again with the cover.
3. If the remote control is not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2 weeks), please remove the batteries to
prevent damage in case of battery leakage. Please refer to further explanations in chapter Safety
Instructions.
Only replace by the same type or similar types recommended by the manufacturer.
Remove empty battery in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
Batteries are hazardous waste and should not be disposed of with regular domestic waste!
Please take discharged batteries to a collection center near you.
CAUTION!
Danger of explosion when battery is replaced improperly.
BATTERY DISPOSAL NOTICE
Please dispose of discharged batteries properly.
