Mains Plug Replacement
(U.K. & Ireland Only)
If a new mains plug needs to be fitted:
• Safely dispose of the old plug.
• Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in
the plug.
• Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal.
WARNING: No connection is to be
made to the earth terminal.
Follow the fitting instructions supplied with good
quality plugs. Recommended fuse: 13 A.
Using an Extension Cable
If an extension cable is required, use an approved
3–core extension cable suitable for the power
input of this tool (see technical data).The minimum

conductor size is 1.5 mm
; the maximum length is
30 m.
When using a cable reel, always unwind the cable
completely.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of
injury, turn unit off and disconnect
machine from power source before
installing and removing accessories,
before adjusting or changing set-
ups or when making repairs. Be sure
the trigger switch is in the OFF position.
An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Switch (fi g. 1, 2)
WARNING: To avoid the possibility of
the appliance plug or receptacle getting
wet, position the saw to one side of
a wall mounted receptacle to prevent
water from dipping onto the receptacle
or plug. The user should arrange a "drip
loop" in the cord connecting the saw
to a receptacle (fig. 2). The "drip loop"
is that part of the cord below the level
of the receptacle, or the connector if an
extension cord is used, to prevent water
traveling along the cord and coming in
contact with the receptacle.

CAUTION: Before plugging in tool,
always check to see that the switch
actuates properly and returns to the
OFF position when released.
1. Depress and hold the switch (b) to start
operation.
2. For continuous operation, press the lock-on
button (c) and release the switch. To disengage
the locking button, depress then release the
switch.
To Install the Diamond Blade
(fi g. 1, 3)
1. Hold the external flange (e) in place with the
flange wrench provided and use the blade
wrench provided to turn the left-hand threaded
clamp screw (f) clockwise to loosen and
remove.
2. Remove the clamping screw (f) and external
flange (e).
3. Place saw on a stable surface.
4. Place blade (d) on spindle.
5. Using the flange wrench provided, hold the
external flange (e).
6. Turn the clamping screw (f) counterclockwise
to tighten. Use the blade wrench provided to
secure tightly.
7. To remove the blade, reverse this procedure.
Mounting the Wet Cut System
(fi g. 1)
WARNING: Do not use wet cut system
unless tool is protected by a PRCD.
This system minimizes airborne dust particles while
improving cutting quality and blade life.
1. Loosen the depth adjustment knob (m) and pull
shoe (n) to it's minimum depth of cut position.
2. Remove the screw (k) located directly to the
right of the depth adjustment knob (m) mounted
to the casting.
3. Position the water valve assembly such that the
hole in the water valve assembly aligns with the
screw hole located in the casting and the forked
water valve straddles the blade.
4. Secure in place with screw. DO NOT
overtighten the screw; this could damage the
water valve assembly.
