5.2. FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
External factors can influence forehead temperature, particularly when
a person:
• has been exposed to very low or very high temperatures.
• has recently been swimming or bathing.
• has covered their forehead.
In these cases, the person must remain at rest and in a suitable
environment for at least 30 minutes before taking the temperature.
1. Place the thermometer in your hand with your thumb on the
measurement button (B). Figure 8.
• Do not press the button yet.
• Make sure the sensor is clean before measuring.
2. Press the measurement button (B) to start the measurement. Keep
the thermometer near the forehead and in the same position until you
hear two beeps. The measurement will have been completed and will
be displayed on the screen. Figure 9.
Note: After pressing the measurement button (B), the distance
sensor will detect the distance between the forehead and the
thermometer.
If the distance is greater than 5 cm, you will hear a series of beeps,
indicating that the thermometer is too far from the forehead. When
the thermometer is brought to a correct position, the device will
take the measurement, otherwise, it will return directly to standby
mode.
3. Read the temperature display on the LCD screen.
To return to the main screen press the memory button (C) or wait 1
minute; the thermometer will automatically return to standby mode.
4. The thermometer will turn off automatically after 60 seconds of inactivity.
5.3. PRESENTATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE MEASUREMENT
Normal body temperature is a range. This range tends to decrease with
age. The following table shows normal temperature ranges by age:
