2. Users should never base their treatment or decision to seek professional
help solely on the measurements made with the device, ignoring other
possible illness symptoms. A delay in treatment should be avoided as
it could contribute to an injury or aggravation of the underlying illness.
3. Performing self-diagnoses and/or treatments based on the results of
the measurements can be dangerous. Be sure to follow your doctor's
instructions.
4. The infrared sensor must be kept clean, dry and without deterioration
at all times to ensure accurate measurements.
5. Sweat or fat on the forehead can cause inaccurate measurements;
make sure the forehead is clean.
6. If the forehead has been cleaned, wait 5 or 10 minutes before taking
the measurement.
7. If the sensor is dirty, the measurement may be incorrect. Make sure
it is clean before using the thermometer.
8. The device is intended for occasional body temperature measurements
and monitoring. Any other use is considered inappropriate and may
cause material or even personal damage.
9. When the device is used to measure the temperature of a child,
it must be operated by an adult. Adults can measure their own
temperature.
10. If the temperature of the place where the thermometer is stored
differs greatly from the place where the measurement is made, please
wait about 30 minutes for the thermometer to equilibrate with the
temperature of the room before use.
11. Body temperature rises after exercising, bathing or showering, or
eating. Wait at least 30 minutes before taking temperature readings.
12. Do not store the thermometer at extreme temperatures, (below -20
°C/-4 °F or above 55 °C/131 °F) or extreme humidity (below 15% RH or
above 90% RH). Otherwise, this may cause inaccuracies.
13. Do not work with the thermometer in extreme temperatures, (below
15 °C/59 °F or above 40 °C/104 °F) or extreme humidity (below 15%
RH or above 85% RH). Otherwise, this may cause inaccuracies.
14. Do not use the thermometer if the main casing is damaged (for
example, the infrared sensor is broken). Continued use of a damaged
unit may result in injury, incorrect results or serious danger.
15. Please avoid mechanical shock; otherwise, the thermometer may
be damaged.
16. Do not attempt to open, repair or replace any part of the device
except the batteries.
17. Do not use any accessory that is not specified in this instruction
manual.
