SAfETy INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can
damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
b) Batteries / Rechargeable batteries
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of batteries being
swallowed by children or pets. In such a case, seek instant medical attention!
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into fire.
There is a risk of explosion!
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries may cause acid burns when coming
into contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of fire and explosion! Only charge rechargeable
batteries, which are intended for this purpose; use suitable rechargeable battery chargers.
Batteries (1.5V) are meant to be used once only and must be disposed of when empty.
• When inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries or when connecting a battery pack or a
charger, observe the correct polarity (note plus/+ and minus/-). Wrong polarity may damage the
accumulator pack. There is also a risk of fire and explosion!
• If the device is not used for a longer period of time (e.g. storage), remove the inserted
batteries (or rechargeable batteries) from the remote control to avoid damage from leaking
batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Recharge the rechargeable batteries about every 3 months, as otherwise there may be a total
discharge due to self-discharge, which makes the rechargeable batteries useless.
• Never charge the enclosed accumulator pack immediately after use. Always leave the
accumulator pack to cool down until it has reached room or ambient temperature again.
• Never damage the envelop of the accumulator pack, do not tear the foil cover, do not prick
into the rechargeable battery with sharp objects. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Remove the flight accumulator that is to be charged from the model and place it on a fire-
proof support. Observe a distance to flammable objects.
• As the charger as well as the accumulator pack heat up during the charging procedure, it is
necessary to ensure sufficient ventilation. Never cover the charger and the accumulator pack!
Of course, this also applies for all other chargers and accumulators.
• Never charge accumulator pack unsupervised.
• Disconnect the accumulator pack from the charger when the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
• The charger and the accumulator pack may not become damp or wet.
c) miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.

OPERATION
• When charging, always remove the accumulator from the model in order to prevent a shape
distortion of the plastic parts in case of a potential development of heat.
• The LiPo charger is either designed for 2-cell LiPo accumulators with 7.4 V and a narrow lug
(not part of the delivery) or for 3-cell LiPo accumulators with 11.1 V and a broad plug (not part of
the delivery). Never connect two accumulators to the charger at the same time!
1. Insert the 5.5 mm power plug of the adaptor into the charger.
2. Connect a 2-cell LiPo accumulator pack (not included) to the charger via the 3-pin connection jack or
connect a 3-cell LiPo accumulator pack (not included) to the charger via the 4-pin connection jack.
3. Connect the power adaptor to the mains outlet.
2-cell LiPo accumulator pack
Status indication LEDs (7)
Each LED represents one cell of the
accumulator pack. The correspondent
LED lights up in red when charging is in
progress; it lights up in green when the
cell is fully charged.
Status indication LED (8)
Always lights in green.
4. The accumulator is completely charged when all the three LEDs light up green. Disconnect the adaptor
from the mains outlet and separate the accumulator pack from the charger.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
