7 Installation
7.1 Location
The product should be positioned so that prolonged staring into the light at a distance closer
than 0.5 m is not expected.
If placed on the ground, the product should not:
■
Obstruct foot traffic.
■
Be placed in areas prone to flooding.
7.2 Mounting
■
The product can be mounted on a wall or placed on the stand.
■
Tighten the tension screw if the mounting bracket/stand will not stay in place.
8 Wiring
Observe the "Safety instructions", especially the "Electrical installation" warning.
Always make sure the main power supply is disconnected before installation.
■
The wires on the product should be connected to the power circuit using self-locking IP65 rated con-
nectors.
■
The wires should be fastened to a 3-way IP65 rated terminal block. For additional safety use heat
shrink tubing or insulating layers as protection if wires get unfastened from the terminal block.
■
The terminal block connectors should not exceed ø2.5 mm
■
The electric circuit powering the product should be equipped with:
- adequate protection (fuse)
- a power switch
■
The wires are colour coded as follows:
- Blue: Neutral (N)
- Brown: single phase (L)
- Green-yellow: protective earth (PE)

9 Operation

9.1 Normal spotlight mode
■
The product can function as a normal spotlight. Consider this option if you do not have access to Wi-
Fi and need a spotlight that can be switched ON/OFF without the app.
■
The light will default to 6000 K each time it is switched ON. Refer to the "Technical data" for informa-
tion about the corresponding brightness levels for each model.
■
It is recommended to have a hardware switch controlling the power outlet, otherwise you will need to
manually disconnect / connect at the socket.

RECONDITIONS

The product is wired up and connected to the power supply.

If the light has previously been paired with the app you should first perform a reset. See section "Re-
set light".
1. Switch the power ON.
2. If the light is flashing, switch it OFF, wait 15 seconds, then switch back ON.
3. Switch the power OFF when finished using.
9.2 Mobile app mode
9.2.1 Download application
Compatible Android TM and iOS apps are available from their respective app stores.
Search for "Smart Life - Smart Living".
9.2.2 Connect product to app
Important:
– The product is compatible with 2.4 GHz networks.
– Enter the exact network name (case sensitive).
– Connect the mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network the product will connect to.

Connection pathway: All Devices → Add Device → Add Manually → Lighting → Light Source (Wi-
Fi).
Tip:
Allow precise location sharing on your mobile device. The app can then automatically locate and con-
figure your Wi-Fi settings.
9.2.3 Remove device
Important:
If you are giving the product to a third party you did not "Share Device" with, you may need to
"Remove Device" through the application before they can link it to their account.

Open the app and navigate to the product icon under the "All devices" tab.
■
Press and hold the product icon then select "Remove Device".
9.2.4 Music
■
This feature requires access to the microphone on the device the application is installed onto.
■
When enabled, the light will flash in synch with the beat of the music.
■
The synchronization responsiveness will depend on the quality of the network connection.
9.2.5 Scenes
Select various lighting scenes, edit them, or create your own.
9.2.6 Multiple light support
■
Add multiple lights to the app to enhance the lighting effect.
■
Control each light individually or group them via the app to control them all at once.

9.2.7 LED status

9.2.8 Reset light / app connection mode
Perform a reset if the product is not functioning correctly, you would like to put the product into app con-
nection mode, or you plan on using it in "normal spotlight mode".
If the product has already been connected to the app, you will need to "Remove Device" via the app be-
fore you can reconnect it.
1. Switch the power ON/OFF 3x (ON → OFF → ON → OFF → ON → OFF → ON).

The light will flash to indicate it is ready to connect with the app.
à To use the product in "normal spotlight mode", when the light begins to flash, switch the power
OFF, wait approximately 5 seconds, then switch back ON.
2. Repeat the connection process. See section "Connect product to app".
10 Cleaning
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They damage
the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
1. Switch the product off.
2. Let the product cool down to ambient temperature.
3. Clean the product with a dry, fibre-free cloth.
11 Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
