5.3. Gears

Enviolo
The Atlas Vario is equipped with the Enviolo gear shifter. The Enviolo
hubs is characterized by stepless shifting. Together with the large shifting
ratio of 380%, you have unlimited possibilities to shift to your desired
RPM. You can not reach the full ratio while standing still, so you need to
shift while driving.
The Enviolo has a surprising
display with a small cyclist that
seems to move either over a hill
(low gear) or move over a flat
surface (high gear).
Shimano dérailleur
De Atlas dérailleur version is equipped with a Shimano Rapidfire Shifter.
You can shift up and down using your index finger or thumb. You can
shift up to 3 gears simultaneously.

Up

and a prolonged lifetime of the gears.

A dérailleur bike requires more maintenance then an internal geared
hub bikes. Please ask your dealer for a fitting maintenance plan
Gearsensor
All QWIC e-bikes with a mid-motor and a Shimano geared hub or
derailleur are equipped with a gearsensor. The purpose of this sensor is
to cut off the motor power for a split second to make sure no power is
applied to the hub while shifting. This will increase the lifespan of your
gears.
