COMMISSIONING
After connecting the power supply or inserting the batteries, the radio doorbell
transmitter is ready for operation and can be taught-in to the receiver(s).
Teaching the receiver
Put the receiver to be taught into the learning mode as described in its instruc-
tions. Usually, the code button on the receiver must be pressed for a few seconds
and the receiver emits a short tone as soon as the learning mode is activated.
Then press the ring button on the transmitter to which the receiver is to
respond. Successful learning is indicated by playing one of the receiver's melod-
ies.
Setting the ring tone
After the receiver(s) has/have been tuned in, the ring tone can be set. With the
BELL system, the ringtone is set on the transmitter. This makes it possible to
identify different transmitters (e.g. one transmitter each at the front and back
door) by different melodies.

With the BELL 502 TX and BELL-503 TX models, a separate ring tone can also be
set for each residential party.
Press and hold the sound selection button (6) while pressing the bell button
whose ring tone you want to set. The taught-in receiver plays a ring tone. Each
time you press the ring button again (sound selection button still pressed simul-
taneously), the next ring tone is played on the receiver. Wait until the ring tone
has been played before switching to the next ring tone. After the desired ring
tone has been played, release the sound selection button and the tone is auto-
matically stored.
Note: The ringtone switch (7) must be in position A (away from the connection
terminal) for all receivers with only 8 ringtones.
For receivers with 16 ringtones, 8 ringtones can be selected in switch position A
and 8 additional ringtones can be selected in switch position B.
