the corresponding corrosion protection is to be built up. This value must be checked regularly for
changes and the corrosion protection adapted.
It is important that for both magnesium and external current anodes variants, an undisturbed
current flow between the anode and steel wall is ensured via a conductive connection.
Stratified combination, hygiene and heat pumps - storage tanks can be operated without hesitation
with regard to corrosion, as they are equipped with a corrugated stainless steel pipe AISI316L
(1.4404). All other buffer storage systems are operated with oxygen-free (dead water) (see DIN
regulations). Smooth tube heat exchangers must be properly flushed prior to initial installation
(recommendation: installation of a dirt filter).
If a smooth tube heat exchanger is not used when the storage tank is in operation, it must be filled
with a suitable anti-corrosion agent (e.g. glycol mixture) and must not be closed on both sides
(pressure expansion). Alternatively, the heat exchanger can be connected to the storage tank /
heating system on the heating side (shut-off valves open).
MAINTENANCE
Caution with the buffer Drinking water storage-tank!
When carrying out maintenance on the drinking water system depressurise the heating side!
With a built-in magnesium anode in the Buffer Drinking water storage-tank, the protection is based
on an electrochemical effect, which results in the removal of magnesium. The inspection of the
magnesium anode is carried out using the latest technology, as a minimum by visual inspection. The
inspection is carried out annually. Under heavy load, this should be changed (annually) if necessary.
We recommend that you replace the magnesium anode at the latest every 2 years. When using an
external current anode, maintenance is carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The inspection and exchange must be documented. Where making a complaint, the protocols and
purchase invoice must be submitted. DIN 4753 must be observed. When replacing the magnesium
anode, proceed as follows: First depressurise the tank (heating and drinking water tanks in reverse
order as under „1. Filling"). Then replace the anode. After a successful exchange as per „1. Filling"
below. In areas with very hard water, we recommend installing a descaling system.

The warranty is valid in accordance with your delivery agreements.

PACKAGING

Our buffer tanks are all screwed onto a pallet standing upright and are packed in weather-resistant
packaging. All packaging materials used are recyclable.
