SENSOR POSITIONING
Sockets (1/2") must be available at the buffer tank or, depending on the model, a sensor bar for the
insertion of the sensor (to control the system).
COMMISSIONING
The installation and commissioning should be carried out only by approved installation companies,
which take responsibility for using proper equipment.

PREPARATIONS

*All the connections, including those which are assembled at the factory (E-socket, flange, anode,
etc.), must be inspected when commissioning for leaks and sealed again if any leak is found (if
necessary drain the buffer tank, disassemble and re-seal). * This is not a guarantee, warranty or
product liability. Please have a filling hose ready.
1. Filling
Connect the storage tank to a water pipe using a filling hose. Flush all pipes and the storage tank
with water. Then empty the rinse water. This process must be carried out until all dirt has been
removed. Always open a vent valve when filling the buffer tank. This process may take 15-30
minutes depending on the size and water flow. Continue to fill the buffer tank until the operating
pressure is reached. Caution! For the buffer Drinking water storage-tank first fill with drinking
water – and then the heating side. On the system side in the operational state it must be ensured,
that the pressure in the interior boiler of the drinking water storage does not fall below the pres-
sure of the buffer tank. The safety valves must also be considered. Even a short-term unfavourable
condition may cause damage. The fill rule must be strictly observed. Failure to comply with one of
the listed points will void the warranty, guarantee and product liability.
2. Leak Test
Water heaters should be checked for leaks before starting. As soon as possible after the cold water
pressure test it is necessary to test by heating to the maximum operating temperature, whether
the system remains sealed at the highest temperature. All connections / openings must be checked
here, this also applies to the pre-sealed connections. If there are any leaks, the connection must
be re-sealed.

CORROSION PROTECTION

All surfaces of the tank in tank storage tank of the PTS product range that come into contact with
service water are quality-assured by means of quality glass enamelling in accordance with DVGW
511 and DIN 4753. They are also equipped with a protective anode in accordance with DIN 4753.
For the enamelled part of the tank in tank PTS, magnesium or external current anodes are used
as protective anodes. It should be noted that magnesium anodes only work technically from an
electrical conductivity (25 ° C water) with >200μSv and external current anodes from >100μSv.
The electrical conductivity (25 ° C water) is to be requested from the local water supplier and
