Tell-tales indicate wind flow along sails and
assist adjustment for better trim and perfor-
mance.
► Optimal set, the sail tell-tales appear
on both sides of the sail to flow in an
equal manner.
► Sailing windward, too close hauled, or if
not correctly trimmed, the windward tell-
tales will flutter and lift.
► Sailing off the wind, or with
insufficient trim, the lee tell-
tales tend to flow upward.
► Sailing a set course, adjust
correct sail trim, guided by
the tell-tales.
► Sailing to windward steer
the boat, guided by the in-
dication of the tell-tales.
MASTHEAD flY
The masthead fly attaches to the mast top
and indicates the direction the wind comes
from.
SAIl BATTENS
The mainsail incorporates 6/7 sail-battens
that slide into batten-pockets and tie at the
ends by means of straps.
► The harder strapped into the pockets,
the greater the sails concavity.
TRAIlING EDGE ExTENSOR
If the trailing edge of
the foresail starts to
flap, it can be tighte-
ned with the trailing
edge extensor.

pADDlE-RETENTION
The forward upper side of the trampoline pro-
vides four elasticated cord retention brackets
for keeping two paddles in position.
► The two spade-paddles 130 cm (Special
accessories) can be fastened by means
of the toggle to the trampoline cloth, fa-
cing each other opposite, each blade to
the outside.
► Alternatively, the paddle can be stored in
the bow canopy (accessory), parallel to
the crossbar.
HAlYARD-pOUCH
The pouch forward centre on the trampoline
cloth is designed to stow any coiled halyard
excess.
HIkING OUT - TOE STRAp
The trampoline cloth incorporates centre run-
ning a two space toe strap for hiking out.
► The toe-strap provides foot hold for the
crew reaching far to windward when hi-
king out.
