5. Blending arm
To attach the blending arm to the motor unit, vertically align the black dot on the motor
unit with the open lock symbol on the blending arm, press, then twist the blending arm
counterclockwise until it locks into place (fig. 2). The black dot should be aligned with the
closed lock symbol (fig. 3). To detach, turn the blender arm clockwise.
Important notes
• Before first-time use, quick-clean the blender by submerging the blades in a cup half-
filled with water and turning it on for a few seconds. Do not exceed 15 seconds.
• Always make sure that the blender is unplugged from the power before attaching or
detaching the blending arm.
• Never blend for more than 1 minute at a time, and always allow 3 minutes of rest be-
tween 2 consecutive blending cycles.
HOW TO USE THE BLENDER
1. Make sure the blending arm is firmly attached to the motor unit before plugging in the
blender.
2. Lower the blender arm into the food and press and hold the Standard speed button
or the Turbo button to start blending.
3. Stop blending by releasing the Standard speed button or the Turbo button.
Important notes
• When using the Normal speed button, you can turn the Speed knob clockwise to
increase the blending speed, or counterclockwise to decrease it. When blending using
the Turbo button, turning this knob is ineffective.
• When blending carrots, always cut them into small pieces before placing them in the
recipient. Do not blend more than 280 g of carrots at once, and always add 420 mL of
water.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Make sure to clean the blender immediately after use, so that food residues do not get
a chance to get stuck on the blender.
• Never immerse the Blending arm completely in water. Over time, this can cause the
lubricant on the bearing system to wash away.
• Wash the Blending arm under running water, without using abrasive cleaning agents
or detergents. The Blending arm is also dishwasher-safe.
• As soon as it is clean, let it dry in an upright position. This way, if any water has gone in
during cleaning, it can go out again.
• Wipe the motor unit clean with a damp cloth, and dry it thoroughly.
