P135 / P135K
SAFETY NOTES
The level transmitter P135 / P135K is a hydrostatic pressure sensor for
measuring the level of liquids. If used incorrectly, application related
dangers may arise, e.g. product overflow through incorrect plant or ad-
justment. The transmitter must be installed, connected, commissioned,
operated and maintained by qualified and authorised personnel only,
under strict observance of these operating instructions, relevant national
standards legal requirements, and where appropriate, the product
certification. Operating pressures and overpressures are to be observed,
see type label and data sheet.
The manufacturer shall not accept any liability for damage arising from
inproper use or if the device is used for purposes for which it was not
intended.
INSTALLATION
The function of the transmitter is nearly independent of its
orientation. To protect the process connection and pressure diaphragm
from damage, remove the protective cap just before installation.
A sideways movement of the cable probe can lead to measuring errors.
Therefore, install the probe at a point free from flow and turbulence,
or use a guide tube. The cable must end in a dry room or in a proper
terminal housing with GORE-TEX® filter.
The sensor housing must be connected to the equipotential bonding of
the system by direct conductive connection or by connecting the cable
shield.
When option "lightning protection" is installed (Option "B" or "RB", see
product code), potential equalization of the system must be carried out
by connecting the cable shield.
OPERATING CONDITIONS
Ui ≤ 30 V, Ii ≤ 150 mA, Pi ≤ 750 mW
Cable connections up to 200m have an effective internal inductance of
200µH and an effective internal capacitance of 54,2 nF. The cable must be
permanently installed in a fixed manner and protected against damage.
PT100 or PT1000 option only: Ui ≤ 9 V, Ii ≤ 300 mA, Pi ≤ 100 mW
Cable connections up to 200m, 3-wire-interface, effective internal induc-
tance of 340µH, effective internal capacitance of 36,8nF.
All electrostatic charges of cables or plastic components through friction
or flowing media must be prevented by the user.
