UTTING THE STEAM GENERATOR INTO OPERATION
Descaling:
Regular descaling prolongs the service life of the steam generator. Descaling should be carried out after every 30 operating hours at the latest.
More often with hard water. Please use standard descaling agents! (e.g. coffee machine descaler)
How to proceed:
1. Switch off steam operation
2. Allow the steam generator to cool off for approx. 30 min.
3. Mix the descaling agent with approx. 0.8 l water and slowly pour into the opening
provided using a funnel, then close the filler neck again [Fig. D].
Caution: Wipe away excess water immediately.
4. Allow the descaling agent to act for approx. 8 h
5. Set the three-way valve to steam operation
6. Switch on steam operation for approx. 15 min by means of the pushbutton
7. Then switch off steam operation again. This causes the steam generator to be automatically rinsed
and emptied several times, by means of the drain valve V1. The water used for rinsing runs directly
into the siphon. During this time, you should only enter the cabin to switch steam operation on and
off, since dissolved descaling agent may also be sprayed out of the steam nozzle together with the steam.
8. After a waiting period of approx. 5 min. the shower tray should be rinsed out with clean water in order
to remove any residues of descaling agents.
9. The steam bath is now ready for operation again.
General Notes
- The steam bath is only designed for private use (commercial use is forbidden).
- Before entering the steam bath, always consult your doctor.
- Never leave children in the cabin without supervision
- Always shower thoroughly before using the steam bath
- The steam bath duration is approx. 15 min; after this, lie down to relax; never have more than 2 - 3 steam
baths one after the other (a cold shower after a steam bath is stimulating, a hot shower is relaxing).
- There is an indentation on the upper side of the steam nozzle where you can put only a few drops of
essential oils; these are heated up during the steam bath and ensure that there is a pleasant fragrance
in the cabin [Fig. E]. Caution! Essential oils may attack the plastic of the walls. Before using such oils,
please check their properties and read the producer's notes.
- To clean the siphon, fold up the cover and take out the two inserts (a) and (b) [Fig. F].
- Do not use any additives (e.g. essential oils) [Fig. D].
Further important instructions
- To clean the shower cabin, use only agents recommended by the trade (do not use scouring agents or solvents)!
- Following the installation and operation instructions will guarantee correct functioning and a long service life.
- Each steam shower cabin and the steam generator are closely inspected before they leave the factory and have to
undergo a function test.
- The steam cabin and steam generator devices may only be used for the intended purpose (steam bath);
otherwise no product liability claims can be accepted.
- In public and commercial sectors, regulations which are not covered by the Safety Standards Authority
or GS approval may apply for the installation of the steam generator and for putting it into operation.
For this reason, it is essential to comply with these regulations.
Furthermore, the national connection regulations / installation regulations of individual countries for
the supply of water and electricity must be complied with.
Descaling the nozzles:
The nozzles must be regarded as parts subject to wear and tear. However, correct functioning and service life can
be increased by regular descaling (at least every 6 months).
1. Unscrew the front chrome ring No. 01, making sure that the seal
No. 02 does not fall out.
2. Remove the body of the nozzle No. 03, locating ring No. 04 and
spring No. 05. Caution! On account of the spring pressure, parts can
easily jump out.
3. Steep the body of the nozzle for several hours (or even better, overnight)
in a standard descaling agent or in diluted vinegar. Then rinse out with
clear water.
4. Lightly grease the silicon seal with tap grease (available in the sanitary trade).
5. Screw on the chrome ring again (tighten by hand).
Make sure that the seal is correctly positioned.
6. For nozzles that are hard to adjust, repeat steps 01- 05.
