ssicurati che sul caricabatterie sia impostato il programma

P1 o P2, prima di lasciarlo collegato per lungo tempo.
Se dovesse venire meno l'alimentazione, al suo ripristino il
carica batterie riprenderà automaticamente la carica prescelta.
Non lasciare la batteria incustodita per lunghi periodi.
P3) Carica a tensione costante 13,6 Volt /
Alimentatore
Questo programma è adatto per portare una batteria da
12V, che eroga una tensione inferiore a 2V, alla tensione
necessaria per utilizzare poi gli altri programmi di carica.
La carica avviene con la tensione costante a 13,6V ed una
corrente massima di 7A: (spia "E" accesa).
La lieve sovraccarica a cui è sottoposta la batteria causa una
costante lieve perdita di liquido e quindi non è la funzione che
ottimizza la durata della batteria.
Il caricabatterie, in questa modalità, può fungere come
alimentatore per dispositivi che richiedono 13,6V con una
corrente massima di 7A. Se la corrente assorbita supera
i 7A, la tensione di uscita subirà un calo, fino a far entrare
in funzione la protezione da sovraccarico che bloccherà
l'alimentazione ed accenderà la spia "C" di anomalia.

In questa modalità, la funzione anti scintille e l'indicazione
di Inversione Polarità sono disabilitate.
P4) Carica a 16 Volt & 1,5 Amp "equalizzazione"
Adatta a rigenerare le batterie che hanno subito cicli di
scarica profonda. (la spia "D" di batteria molto scarica resta
accesa per parecchio tempo).
La batteria viene sottoposta ad un lieve sovraccarico
che rende uniforme la carica tra gli elementi ed elimina la
stratificazione dell'acido (maggiore densità dell'acido sul
fondo della batteria).
La carica avviene con la tensione fino a 16,0V ed una
corrente massima di 1,5A, per circa 4 ore: (spia "E" accesa).
Dopo aver raggiunto i valori impostati, il caricabatterie passa
alla fase 4 del programma P1.

Questa modalità, deve essere utilizzata al termine di una
ricarica completa
L
La carica a 16V non dovrebbe causare problemi alle
apparecchiature elettroniche collegate alla batteria
tuttavia per minimizzare il rischio per le apparecchiature
elettroniche, ricarica la batteria scollegata.
L
Il caricabatterie non è in grado di iniziare la carica se una
batteria da 12V eroga una tensione inferiore a 6V (batteria
estremamente scarica). Utilizza il programma P3 per dare
una prima breve carica alla batteria.
L
Il caricabatterie memorizza la modalità di funzionamento
utilizzata al momento del suo scollegamento.
L
Se la batteria viene scollegata durante la ricarica il
caricabatterie interrompe la carica entro pochi secondi.

Protezione termica

Il caricabatterie è dotato di un protettore termico che riduce
la corrente a 5 Amp quando la temperatura interna raggiunge
valori troppo elevati.

Automatic battery charger

Before putting into operation for the first
time, attach the supplied sticker in your
language on the battery charger.
Overview and warnings
M
ake sure that the power supply socket to which the battery
charger is connected is protected by safety devices (fuses
or automatic circuit breaker).
N
ever use the battery charger with damaged cables or
whenever the charger has been subjected to impact or
damaged.
N
ever dismantle the battery charger: take it to an authorized
service centre.
S
upply cable must be replaced by qualified people.

atteries generate explosive gas (hydrogen) during normal
operation and even greater quantities during recharging

void creating flames or sparks.
T
he battery charger itself can generate sparks. Make sure
that the clamps cannot be accidentally released from the
battery's poles.
M
ake sure that the plug is unplugged from the socket before
connecting or disconnecting the cable clamps.
N
ever let the cable clamps touch each other.
P
rovide adequate ventilation during charging
W
henever permitted by the type of battery, remove the caps
and check the level of the electrolyte in the cells, adding
distilled water if necessary. Make sure that the electrolyte
level is 5-10 mm over the battery's cells.
C
harge the battery with the electrolyte caps in place. Many
batteries have flame retardant caps. Place a damp cloth over
electrolyte caps that are not flame retardant.
C
arefully read the recharging instructions provided by the
Manufacturer for maintenance -free batteries.
N
ever open the electrolyte caps in maintenance-free
batteries.
S
ome maintenance-free batteries have level indicators.
Whenever the acid level is indicated as being too low, the
battery must be replaced. Never attempt to recharge such
batteries.
N
ever charge frozen batteries that might explode.
N
ever attempt to charge batteries that cannot be recharged
or other types than those indicated.
