7. Basic settings

7. 1. Input configuration
These two parameters must always be set:
1. Set the unit to the level of the pulse pick-ups with the parameter P03
(P03 = 1: HTL / P03 = 2: TTL).
2. Set the unit to the electrical design of the pulse pick-ups with the parameter P04
(P04 = 1: npn switching / P04 = 2: pnp switching).
These two settings apply to all 4 inputs.
Configuration with the connection of NAMUR pulse pick-ups: P03 = 1 and P04 = 1.
The level of the input signal depends on the setting with P04:
- signal = HIGH if P04 = 2 (pnp switching),
- signal = LOW if P04 = 1 (npn switching).
The following parameters can be set as needed:
• Frequency division: reduction of the input frequency in 5 defined division ratios
(parameter P05 for input A, parameter P06 for input B).
• Function assignment for the inputs C and D: A signal to the input executes one of
the following functions: reset, counting interruption, reset min/max, keyboard
locking (parameter 21 for input C, parameter P22 for input D).
