Installation Information
Valves should be mounted as firmly as possible, i.e. they should be made fixed points. Any
active force is then transmitted directly and not through the pipeline. The threaded sleeves on
the diaphragm valve are ideal for this purpose. The diaphragm valve and the pipeline must be
perfectly aligned in order to prevent excessive loads on the valve.
The connection between the bonnet and valve body should be checked for tightness at regular
intervals. Please consider at leakage or other defects the Georg Fischer Planning

We recommend checking the functionality of diaphragm valves which are kept
permanently opened or closed 1 to 2 times a year. Furthermore we recommend
checking every screwed joint on a regular basis. If necessary, please retighten the
screws
