2. INSTALLATION
DEFINITION
Wood burning stove designed for installation close to a wall, and
which can be moved with no need for additional work. The
connection to the flue pipe is made through stainless steel or
vitreous enamel pipes with the CE mark. The connection must be
made to an individual flue pipe.
SAFETY CLEARANCE
Regardless of the orientation of the connection (horizontal or
vertical), there must be a clearance between the wall and the sides
and the back of the appliance, as indicated on the diagram.
Maintain a minimum distance of 3 x diameter between the
connecting pipe and the support wall.

PREPARATION OF THE STOVE
Install the appliance on a floor with sufficient load-bearing
capacity. If the floor cannot bear the load, then work should first be
performed to make sure that it can do so (for example, the
installation of a load distribution pad). Position the stove in its
definitive location and level it. For ease of maintenance, it is
recommended to lay tiles or some other type of covering in the
load-bearing area. Remove all the accessories, wedges and stove
documents from the ash tray.
MOUNTING THE BAFFLE PLATE
Vermiculite baffle plate. The vermiculite baffle plate is an important
element for the improved efficiency of the appliance, facilitating the
recovery of the soot during chimney sweeping. The baffle is
installed when the appliance is delivered. Before operating the
wood burning stove, the baffle plate should be taken out and put
back in a number of times in order to become familiar with its
operation.
1.- Lift up the baffle, slide it forwards and tilt it.
2.- Remove the baffle.
3.- Position the baffle at an angle and take it out of the
firebox.
4.- Re-install the baffle in its original position.
400 mm min.
CONNECTION
AIR INLET
Air intake connected to the outside air.
A Ø 120 outdoor air connection collar is fitted as standard in the
back of the stove. This ensures that the combustion air is drawn
from outside and not from the room. This increases the
performance of the system. Furthermore, the combustion will not
be affected by the controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) system
or by an extractor hood.
Connect the collar to the outside air (with a flexible aluminium tube
with a maximum length of 2 m, otherwise the air supply may not be
sufficient), facing the prevailing winds. If a grid is used, maintain a
minimum free section of 0.25 dm
obstructed.
Air intake connected to the outside air
If it is not possible to connect the collar to an outdoor air intake,
then it will be necessary to get an additional fresh air intake
positioned facing the prevailing winds to permit correct
combustion, particularly if the house is heavily insulated and/or
fitted with a controlled mechanical ventilation system (C. M.V.) It
must have a minimum air passage of: 1 dm². Do not operate the
stove if a smoke extractor hood is operating.
FLUE PIPE
Treat this point of the installation with great care and attention.
This appliance must not be connected to a shared flue system.
-
For a pipe that is already in place: get it cleaned
mechanically (mechanical chimney brush). Get an
authorised stove-maker to check its classification
suitability, its condition (stability, air tightness,
compatibility of materials, diameter, etc.).
If the flue is not compatible (old, cracked, considerable blockage):
-
contact a specialist so that it can be repaired in order to
comply with the regulations in force.
CONNECTING PIPES
Use T450 vitreous enameled pipes (minimum) or 316 stainless
steel (available at your stockist), without shortening them.
The connection to the flue must be made in the room in which the
appliance is installed. Provide access for chimney sweeping and to
clean the flue pipe.
The pipe must not stick out of the flue pipe and the connections
should be removable and airtight.
Avoid having a long horizontal section in front of the flue. If this is
inevitable, then give it a rising slope of 5 cm per metre.
