Regular maintenance is part of proper use and in-
dispensable for safe and efficient operation.
18.1

Checking and cleaning the device

The cleaning intervals for the device depend on the
actual operating conditions. Therefore check and
clean the device regularly.
NOTICE
Suitable cleaning products
Suitable cleaning products for your device are
available from your dealer or directly from HEYLO.
– Depending on where the device is used, dust
and dirt can affect the performance of the de-
vice. The intervals between cleaning may need
to be reduced.
– The electrical system must be checked regularly
for signs of damage.

Switching the device off
To clean and check the device, switch the device off
as follows:
a) Deactivate the COOL mode on the control panel
or remote control.
b) After a few minutes: Press the "ON/OFF" button
on the control panel or POWER button on the
remote control.
 The device is switched off and the status indica-
tor on the control panel goes out.

Cleaning the water tank
The water tank needs to be drained and disinfected
regularly depending on the conditions where the
device is used.
✓ The device is switched off.
a) Drain the water tank by opening the water drain.
 The water tank is now cleaned.
Checking and disinfecting the cooling pads
✓ The device is switched off.
a) Loosen the screw connection on the air intake
grille and remove the grille.
b) Check the cooling pads for damage, contamina-
tion and for correct installation.
 If you discover that the pads are damaged,
replace the respective pad.
 If you discover dirt or contamination on the
pads, carefully clean and remove it. Be care-
ful not to damage the pads while doing so.
 If you discover any gaps between the pads,
move the pads back into the correct position
ensuring there are no gaps between them.
Handle the pads with care and avoid dama-
ging them.
c) Clean the surface of the cooling pads with a
suitable disinfectant that complies with the Eu-
ropean Regulation No. 582/2012.
NOTICE! Observe the manufacturer's own sa-
fety instructions and regulations.
Disinfecting the device
The cooling pads and water tank must be disinfected
regularly to prevent the build-up of toxic substances
(mould, fungi, etc.).
✓ The water tank is filled with water.
a) Fill the water tank with a suitable disinfectant
that complies with the European Regulation
No. 582/2012.
NOTICE! Observe the manufacturer's own sa-
fety instructions and regulations.
b) Press the "ON/OFF" device button on the con-
trol panel or the POWER button on the remote
control.
 The fan and the pump start.
 The operating status is displayed in the sta-
tus indicator on the control panel.
c) Select the COOL mode on the control panel or
remote control (see Control and display ele-
ments
[
24]).
d) After 30 minutes operating time: Deactivate the
COOL mode on the control panel or remote
control.
e) After a few minutes: Press the "ON/OFF" button
on the control panel or POWER button on the
remote control.
